Katrina | California Senior Photographer
"If I could go back, I'd tell my freshman self to love herself", explained Katrina, "I would tell myself that things will get better, and that anything is possible with hard work and dedication." I loved hearing these sentiments from this bright and beautiful senior. She is a great example of how high school can shape your adult years, and how you can become what you want to be through adversity and challenges. Katrina overcame some anxiety during high school (shared with her permission), and says, "I used to have anxiety that was extremely severe to the point where I couldn't go many places or do many things. It became tiring and frustrating. I have worked very hard to overcome it, and it took a lot of self evaluation and help from family and friends. I'm still working on it, and it's a work in progress." I am so proud of her hard work, and think that her story can really help other high schoolers and teens who may be struggling with anxiety. Besides being courageous and obviously very beautiful, she is also an exemplary student who is passionate about writing and helping animals. Her personality could be described by her friends as "kindhearted and selfless", and I would surely agree! She's such a loving and caring person, who truly takes an interest in others.
When it comes to style, she definitely knows what she loves, especially clothes from Forever 21. Katrina enjoys dressing for summer and fall, because of the versatility, and envisioned a summery, floral shoot for her session. I was more than happy to bring that vision to life, and we had such a fun time together. "I chose Lisa for my senior photos because I have seen other friends who had their photos done by Lisa, and they turned out beautifully. I've only heard great things about Lisa's work, and how happy the other friends were with their photos. I agree with them, as Lisa does wonderful work!", she explained happily. Once graduation is complete, she plans to take a gap year to work, before enrolling in Sierra College and studying literature, which she loves. Katrina, it was a pleasure doing your senior photos, and I have enjoyed getting to know you as at the creative and smart young lady that you are.
