Doing your own daughter’s senior session is something very special, indeed. I am so incredibly proud of my sweet girl, Kendall, and the way she has worked extra hard to graduate early. She has also already completed a semester at Sierra College, and is well on her way to achieving all of her big dreams! She’s enjoyed the last few years at Colfax High School, and is part of the Class of 2019. Besides focusing intently on her schoolwork, she also enjoyed being part of the yearbook team in school, and serving as the Editor in Chief for three of those years. “There was quite a bit of drama that happens in high school, and girls can be mean”, she explained, “but I recently deleted Instagram, and started reading more books instead. It’s been so good mentally. I really learned that it’s better to have one good friend, than five inauthentic ones. I’ve learned not to settle for less than I deserve.”
Kendall also managed to work while graduating early last December, and is looking forward to continuing on at Sierra College to study Psychology. She also is excited about tackling some of the things on her bucket list, like exploring all fifty states, and going on road trips. One thing that sets her apart is her amazing fashion sense (I am always in awe, as her mom!), and she LOVES shopping for unique treasures at places like secondhand stores. She describes her style as urban hipster, and fall is her favorite season to dress for. Obviously, I am a bit biased as her mother, but I am so proud of the person that she has become. Kendall has really grown and matured as a young lady, and I am so excited to watch her chase her passions in the future.
