I've heard it said that high school shapes your future. I'm not sure if that's entirely true, because I think you also can change a whole lot in college, but I do think that lifelong habits, and the kind of person you are, is heavily influenced during your time in high school. I know that this beautiful senior will have a lot of growing left to do, but she's already made pretty amazing progress on the woman she's becoming. Sarah attends Nevada Union High School, nestled here in the Sierra Nevada foothills near Sacramento and Grass Valley, and was thrilled to be completing senior year when we did her session in May. The month of May is a great time to do senior photos (you can read more about why a summer session is also a fabulous idea HERE), and the light and locations really cooperated with us on that special day. Sarah was up for anything, and was a natural at posing and working with the camera, so I loved every minute.
"I chose Lisa as my senior photographer, because I loved the way the photos looked", explained Sarah, "I was referred by my friend Toria, and researched Lisa's work on her website." She also shares that she loves helping people, something she hopes to employ as an ultrasound tech in the future. This beauty looks up to her mom as her role model, and says, "My mom really inspires me, she is dedicated and passionate, and sweet". In her free time, hanging out with friends and going to the lake are some of her favorite pastimes. It seems this girl has it all; brains, beauty, and an incredible fashion sense (she loves shopping at Target and dressing for the summer and fall seasons). "I've learned a lot in high school", she concludes, "but the most important piece of information I've learned that I'd share with incoming freshman, would be that if things are meant to be for you, it will happen."
I'm proud of this amazing young woman for going after all her dreams and keeping her sweet spirit intact. Congratulations, Sarah! You'll be an amazing ultrasound tech! If you'd like to book your own senior shoot, please contact me today!
