Alexa is an all-around wonderful person. I could tell that she has a stellar character from the moment I met her at her senior shoot, and she made it into a spectacular day! She’s graduating from Nevada Union High School, and has big plans for her future. She’ll be heading off to Sierra College, and it’s a toss-up between majoring in psychology, physical therapy or criminal justice. No matter what, it seems like she’s got a servant’s heart, and it’s a wonderful thing to capture in her senior photos. In her session, we wanted to showcase some of her favorite things, from basketball to the USA. The weather was perfect for a sunny shoot, and we were able to get some wonderful photos that really reflected Alexa’s sweet personality.
In her spare time, she plays basketball and water polo, and she loves creative endeavors like photography, drawing and painting. And now that it’s spring, you’ll find her out hiking and enjoying the gorgeous Cali weather. I loved chatting with her during the session, and we talked about what wisdom she’d give to her past self: “I would tell my freshman self that it’s valuable to try new things”, she said, “and not to be afraid of what people think of you.” She’s got a great head on her shoulders, and she attributes it to her mother, who inspires her in her work ethic and the example she’s set for Alexa. She takes after her mom, and gets a real sense of confidence from sharing in her mother’s joyful outlook.
I loved capturing Alexa’s genuine smile, and we both enjoyed traveling around to the various locations. Her patriotic spirit looked beautiful wrapped in the flag, and we had a lot of fun and laughs being creative together. I can’t wait to see where Alexa goes, and I wish her all of the success in the world on her journey there!
