Alexa is one of the most hardworking ladies I’ve ever met. She’s attending Sierra College at their Rocklin campus, having graduated high school in her junior year. She’s got her bright future all planned out: after she gets her AS in psychology at Sierra, she’s headed to Chico State to get her Bachelors in business management. After that, she’s headed off to a master’s program in Brest, France and Waterford, Ireland, to get her degree in both international business and sociology! She’s going to be a busy gal! I loved the location we chose for her session, out in the woods and the snow. It was the perfect backdrop to a gorgeous girl, and I loved the atmosphere she brought to the shoot.
Even though Alexa has accomplished so much, it hasn’t been easy. “When I graduated my junior year, a lot of people thought it was a bad idea” she said, “and it was hard for me to hear that I'm making the wrong choice when I knew it was truly right for me. So far, it’s the best decision I’ve made, and I fit much better in college.” She also said that, if she could go back in time, she’d tell herself to go with the flow more. I asked her who inspires her: “My brother. He has shown me bravery, courage, intelligence and so much wisdom.” She went on, “he never fails to help anyone in need, and he’s the sweetest man I know. He’s truly showing me a great path to follow.”
I loved the creativity of the session, especially how the background colors complimented Alexa’s outfit and hair. She has quite the creative side too, writing poetry and drawing every moment she can on, filling up her phone and her notebooks. Even though it was a bit chilly out in the snow, Alexa’s warmth made it so wonderful. She’s got a wonderful future ahead of her, and I’m so excited to see where she goes. I wish her all the best in everything!
