I have known this amazing senior since she was very young, and thought one special aspect was that she mentioned she has been looking at my photos since she was in the third grade! I couldn’t wait to do her senior session; having known and cared about her for so long. Rylee is a senior at Colfax High School, where she has maintained a 3.9 grade point average. She will celebrate the culmination of her hard work and graduation in June, and is eager to make the most of her senior year. “As a senior now, I’d tell my freshman self that it’s okay if not everyone is your biggest fan. Not everyone will support you in what you do. That doesn’t make you any less, and it’s okay to be your OWN biggest supporter”, she explained, “During high school, I transferred schools, and it was something I will never forget. It was huge and scary, and I got through it by relying on people around me to support me, and get me into the world when I was too afraid. It was hard, but it gave me some of my favorite people!”
Besides being very committed to her academics, Rylee also enjoys playing competitive softball, and is talented in music (she plays five instruments), and she adds that her friends would describe her as, “funny, outgoing, assertive, and comforting”. She hopes her classmates will remember that she wasn’t just a “new girl”, but rather that she was someone who became a true part of the school and represented what it meant. Rylee’s favorite high school memory was: “My junior year homecoming football game and dance. I got to spend it with people that I truly care about and love, and it was just such a fun time that I won't forget”, although I think graduation will have a special place in her heart, when it comes this next year! She plans to attend college after high school, where she would like to study law and play softball.
With her bright smile and positive mindset, I cannot wait to see where life takes her!
