There’s something special about my senior squad. Each year there’s a whole new group of ladies, but there’s the same familiar spirit about them, a spirit of creativity, enthusiasm, and passion that I’m so blessed to be a part of. Lauren is a wonderful example of each of those qualities, and she’s a beloved member of the 2018 squad. She’s graduating out of Nevada Union High School, and she’s moving on to university in southern California, to study business administration. Lauren’s one of those people who, when they put their mind to something, accomplishes everything they set out to - so I know that she’ll do well!
The photo session happened on such a gorgeous day. The weather was just as charming as Lauren was, and it made for some really pretty pictures. She loves the outdoors, so we spent all of our session outside in some nice, rustic areas, looking for pops of color and brick textures for our backdrops. I loved chatting with Lauren, and I wondered what she would want her classmates to remember about her after she moved on. “I’d want them to remember how hard I worked”, she said, “not only in my work at school, but in each of my friendships.” Lauren doesn’t take either for granted, and really values the experiences and memories she’s made in high school. If she could go back to her freshman self to give her advice, she’d encourage her work ethic, tell her about the importance of being herself - and never to procrastinate! Which I think is good advice for anyone to hear.
Lauren is a wise and gifted person, and I know that she will go very far in life. One of her favorite things to do is adventuring and making memories, so I wish her many adventures and a lifetime of great memories to cherish forever. I know that one of those memories for me was spending such quality time with her. Congratulations Lauren!
