Meeting Maddie was such a highlight of December! She brought cheer and joy to the holiday season in her own special way, and we had such a great time together. She is one of my senior reps, and another young lady who I feel very honored to have representing my photography. Maddie attends St. Francis high school, where she is busy upholding her amazing 4.02 G.P.A. She absolutely loves anything involving water, and is part of the water polo team and the swim team, and she coaches swim and lifeguards as well. Senior year is something she's been looking forward to for quite some time, and she says, "As a senior, I would tell incoming freshmen to just be themselves. Even if you may feel self conscious about who you are, it doesn't matter what others think because they're worried about themselves. For me, I love getting to see someone's true self because they're so unique and that makes them beautiful." While academics are high on her list of priorities, she is also very passionate about helping in her community, particularly with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and the LivingWell Medical Clinic.
Planning her senior session was pretty easy for Maddie, especially since she says her best character trait is her honesty, and she took a matter-of-fact approach to her outfits and her styling. "I chose Lisa for my senior photos because I loved the style of the portraits. The lighting is always absolutely beautiful, and everyone in the photos seems so comfortable." Urban Outfitters is her store of choice when she goes shopping, and she describes her personal style as very casual. Someone she looks up to would be famed author Leo Tolstoy, and she adds, "He is the person that inspires me the most. He's an incredible author whose words are just so beautiful and precise, which I love. There are so many quotes from his works that are inspiring and can really make you think, because they're so unique and honest." Maddie also possesses a witty and lively sense of humor, and says it's something her friends value as well. After graduation, she plans to study chemistry at college, and I know her bright mind will be an asset to any program she chooses.
